About

Kelly has nearly two decades of financial and leadership experience. She spent 10 years as a team member of the national network of KIPP charter schools, first in its Baltimore region and most recently as the Chief Financial Officer of KIPP Metro Atlanta. In this role, she led all planning and analysis for accounting, budget, procurement, payroll, and finance. During her tenure, she oversaw 260% growth of KIPP Metro Atlanta’s budget, overhauling its systems to scale and continuing to invest in a foundation of financial sustainability. She defined and inspired an organization-wide finance culture of compassion and prudence.

Kelly has experience in both consulting and school districts, having previously worked for Navigant Consulting, IBM, Baltimore County Public Schools, and DC Public Schools. She is an alumna of the Education Pioneers, Strategic Data Project, and FOX fellowships. Kelly is a two-time graduate of the University of Virginia, having earned a B.S. in Commerce with concentrations in Finance and Marketing, as well as an MBA from The Darden Graduate School of Business Administration. 

Kelly is deeply passionate about preparing the next generation of students for colleges and careers of their choice. She strives to ensure that financial obstacles don’t stand in the way of students’ dreams or the institutions that serve them. Kelly lives in Atlanta with her husband and two young children.
